New Year's Resolution
I have been thinking about resolutions for the coming year. I need to lose weight. I also need to get back to school and transfer my candadicy from North Texas Conference. I would love for my house to stay clean longer. All good plans. Plain, predictable, but good. I also started thinking about my true passions, art and philosophy/theology. I also have been thinking about stories I learned in Art History class about artists who would spend time creating, eatting and drinking together. So, I have been considering having a monthly dinner with artists, philosophers and theologians. I am not sure who I will invite or how this will go. I want the group to be mixed company. So, 12 months, 12 dinners. I need suggestions for guests. I'm off to ponder the guest list...

2 days after Christmas - First Post
It has been 2 days since the chaos of Christmas hit our house. With 4 children, 8 yrs., 5 yrs. and 2 yr. old twins, the toy store seems to take over our house every year. We said this year we were going to have a "Simple Christmas". Well, there is really nothing simple about gifts for 4 children. We had American Girl dolls, an ipod, roller blades, a scooter, a Didj with games, many Elmo and Pooh toys (which with twins you have to have 2 of the same), Star Wars people and a huge plastic kitchen with all the plastic fruits & veggies. We have yet to find a home for everything. You would think with all the new toys the children would have plenty to do and not fight with eachother. HA! The two oldest have done nothing but. The Sound of Music is now on. Maybe that will keep their attention for a little while...
